Chad Johnson’s wife now ex-wife Evelyn Lozada’s marriage only lasted about a month. The pair were engaged for 2 years before they died the knot but their marriage was short-lived.
Chad Johnson’s then-wife Evelyn Lozada and he got engaged in November of 2010. The engagement followed after quite a lot of rumors as Johnson had gifted Lozada’s a 10-carat ring 15 days prior.
The pair then got married in July of 2012 which can be considered the most well-documented wedding at the time. Besides the camera documenting the ceremony, Johnson tweeted his thoughts throughout the day.
Their wedding was also documented by VH1 for their upcoming reality TV show. Johnson also tweeted about the wedding throughout the day. In his tweets, he expressed his nervousness, confidence, and annoyance at how many times his then-wife was changing her out-fits.
Sadly their marriage was short-lived, as only a month later Evelyn filed for divorce.

Due to events at the time Chad Johnson’s wife now ex Evelyn Lozada decided to file for divorce just a month after their wedding.
Lozada allegedly found a bag in her car left by Johnson 3 weeks after they wed. Lozada stated that she found a Walgreens bag which consisted of a receipt that showed Johnson had bought a box of condoms among some other things. This has Lozada suspect something foul so she waited for Johnson to come home.

She stated that as soon as his car pulled onto their driveway she walked up to his car and confronted him. She recalled that he reminded her of how she asked him to use protection if he was ever tempted on the road, which broke her heart. Following this, she clarified that it was unacceptable of him to even think of cheating on her and that she was disappointed about the lack of effort on Johnson’s part to make their marriage work.
After the confrontation, Chad John’s wife told him that she would not stick around for what he had done. That’s when he allegedly lost his cool grabbed her ears and head-butted her. That impact caused an injury on her head which resulted in stitches. And Johnson was arrested for this.
Lozada filed for divorce after this which was finalized in September 2012.
Later in 2020, Johnson addressed his arrest. And following this Lozada claimed that Johnson had assaulted her multiple times during their relationship as Chad Johnson fans harassed her Johnson lost his job with the NFL following the arrest on charges of domestic violence.
