The world loses another gem yet again! Darius Campbell-Danesh, the prominent Scottish singer, songwriter, musician, actor, and film producer has passed away. Campbell Danesh was only 41 at the day of death.
Darius rose to international stardom after his memorable rendition of Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time for his audition on the Popstars talent show in 2001. And since then blossomed into one of the most promising artists.
However, fate had other plans.

Darius Campbell Danesh, an actor and former Pop Idol contestant passed away at 41, according to his family.
In Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11, the actor and singer’s body was discovered in his apartment.
According to a statement, we announce Darius Campbell Danesh’s passing with deep sorrow. The Rochester, Minnesota, medical examiners’ office announced Darius was dead on August 11 after discovering him unconscious in bed in his apartment.
Likewise, no indication of malice or suspicious circumstances was found, according to the local police department. However, doctors are still investigating his sudden death. Hence the cause of his death is still unknown.
“Please respect our request for privacy at this time as we process the tragic loss of our son and brother,” the request reads.
Just a few weeks before he passed away, Darius was last seen walking a dog in Malibu with his friend from the movie industry, Gerard Butler.
The friends were captured in photos without shoes as they hung out close to Gerard’s house.
Tributes were made to the late star after word of his passing spread.
The first Popstars judge to express her sorrow over his passing was Nicki Chapman, who posted on social media: “There will only ever be one Darius Campbell Danesh. “A true gentleman with a good heart and a mischievous twinkle in his eye. From that memorable first Popstars audition to his gracious invitation to watch him perform on the West End stage. “Thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.”
Followed by Cowell as he remembered Danesh as “charismatic, funny, and just a great person to be with” in his memory. The actor said that his passing for someone so young is an absolute tragedy, and his family and friends are in my thoughts.

Originally known as Darius Danesh, the Scottish singer-songwriter and actor made his first attempt at fame in 2001 with the ITV program Popstars. He also made an appearance on the first season of Pop Idol.
Simon Cowell offered him a record contract following his successful run on Pop Idol, but he declined it in favor of working with producer Steve Lillywhite.
In the years that followed, he established a successful stage career, appearing in shows like Guys and Dolls, Gone With the Wind, West End, and as well as in Chicago for two runs as Billy Flynn.
