Yes, you read that correctly. Unfortunately, not many know of this, but the actress actually shares a child with the Vampire Weekend’s frontman Ezra Koenig.

The two also never share any glimpse of their personal life on social media. However, the two have appeared in award ceremonies and galas together. It was during 2018 when Jones was pregnant with a child, and it was unclear who the baby daddy was. Neither Jones nor Koenig revealed about the child or even them being together back in the day.
Nonetheless, if the reports are correct, Jones gave birth to a child in late 2018, and the kid is now a healthy four-year-old.
Rashida appeared at the Toronto Film Festival for the premiere of the documentary ‘Quincy’ that she had directed for her father. It was evident that the actress was pregnant at the time, but she didn’t talk about it directly.

When the news broke out, fans of both the actress and the musician were shocked as they did not know that the Parks and Recreation actress was in a relationship with the Vampire Weekend frontman, let alone that they were now parents.
Naturally, the super-private couple didn’t even share pictures of their newborn on social media and weren’t seen in public with the child. It all comes down to the fact that Rashida Jones felt insecure about herself in the past.
Jones’ feeling of self-doubt
During an interview in 2014, Jones revealed that she had difficulty accepting herself. Primarily due to the pressure from social norms, Rashida Jones preferred to remain out of the limelight regarding her personal life. Instead, the actress only focused on her career and let her work speak for herself.
Jones explained that although she was happy and successful as she had wanted to be, it took a lot of time and effort for her to reach that milestone.
“I’m happy, but it’s taken me a long time to get to a place where I actually am okay with the fact that I’m not married and don’t have kids where I actually don’t feel like a loser,” said the Parks and Rec actress.

The actress and the pop-rock musician were first photographed together back in 2014 during a grand opening ceremony. However, the two were only friends at the time since both were known to have different love interests in their life.
In July 2015, Rashida Jones made an appearance on Koenig’s radio show, Time Crisis. The actress talked about visiting Michael Jackson’s house in the show.
Furthermore, the same month, Jones’ father, Quincy Jones, posted a casual dinner outing picture on Twitter. Jones was seen in the frame with his daughter and her apparent boyfriend, Koenig.

After that, the two started making more frequent public appearances. The Office actress and the singer were also spotted in New York together. That year, the two attended multiple events together.
In 2017, the couple attended the Sundance Film Festival together and were seen packing together in the PDA.
Although it is not certain when the two exactly started dating, but in a 2019 interview, the singer/musician opened up a little about his life with his girlfriend and child.
“Our family’s the most important thing in my life,” said Koenig to Entertainment Weekly.

Despite being in a relationship with a pop-rock musician and having a child together, Jones apparently isn’t a fan of the genre of music her boyfriend makes. Koenig revealed that Jones loved 90s R&B music since she grew up in the United States surrounded by it and finds it nostalgic.
“Rashida is so checked out from indie music, there’ll be times she’ll hear me listen to something classic, and she’ll be like, ‘What is this? This sucks,‘” laughed Koenig.
