American-Haitian actor Jamie Hector scar has been a matter of concern for The Wire star for a significant amount of time now. However, Hector preferred to keep the details of the scar to himself.
When asked about the scar, the actor often said it provides him with the required emotions to perform his roles.
Story Behind Jamie Hector Scar
In July of 2009, Hector was going through the happiest moments of his life as he was about to enter fatherhood soon. However, something tragic happened, which changed his pre-parenthood experience into an unforgettable nightmare.
The actor was in New York to host a baby shower party, cherishing his wife’s pregnancy. Unfortunately, the party, which was supposed to be full of cheers, turned into a horrifying crime scene.
An Infiltrator pulled up in the front building where the party took place and hip-fired 46 bullet shells. The shooting injured two men and left a teenage party attendant dead on the spot.
Hector and his family escaped the near-death experience with no harm by inches. Later, he released a statement where he expressed his condolences to the victims’ families. Moreover, his report also advocated that he or any party attendants were not involved in causing it.
Hector’s statement read, “I would like to make it clear that the shooting incident [Sunday] did not take place at my home, nor did it involve me, my wife, nor any of the invited guests.”
However, when asked about the scar, he doesn’t like to talk about it, which indicates that he has been trying to forget the tragic event for years now.

The Wire star, Jamie, has been working to bring out positive changes in the community from the get-go. In addition, he established Moving Mountains, Inc, with a plan to promote acting and provide theatre access to aspiring youth actors.
His non-profit organization has been delivering courses in drama, music, vocals, and films for more than 15 years now.
Hector is often seen carrying out campaigns to help the people in need. For instance, he took the drivers’ seat for collecting funds for 2010 Haiti earthquake victims. Also, recently, on December 16, 2021, he conducted a toy drive intending to bring joy to the children of Brooklyn.
Hector’s Plan For 2022
As of 2022, Hector is focusing on his new ventures as his long-running series Bosch ended after the season 7 release date. However, the actor is supposedly featuring in the spin-off of, Bosch which is expected to release in 2022. If the reports turn out to be precise, Hector fans worldwide are in for a feast!
